Inspection is limited to vehicles currently listed for sale. Tools of any kind, including diagnostic code readers, are not allowed in the yard. See a staff member if you need assistance with a vehicle. As a safety precaution, please do not attempt to start a vehicle without a Copart employee.

How does IAA auction work?

You can place pre-bids (also known as proxy bids) online once a vehicle has been assigned a sale date. To pre-bid, enter a starting bid and a maximum bid amount. An automated system manages the bids up until the pre-bidding period ends one hour (local time) before the live auction.

Can you go to Copart and look around?

Can I drive car away from Copart?

Yes, cash is accepted at most Copart locations. However, limits may apply. Contact the Copart location where you are purchasing the vehicle for more details.

How long does a bid last on Copart?

You can choose to accept, decline or respond with your own counter bid. You and the seller can place counter bids after a lot has run through an auction until 5pm PT the next business day after the sale date.

How does Copart get their cars?

Copart’s inventory is mainly composed of wrecked cars from insurance companies, but we also have some consumers who sell their clean title vehicles through us as well. You can find boats or power sports vehicles like jet skis at Copart too!

Does iaai accept cashier checks?

IAA offers convenient Payment Methods including: Cash (up to $500 per day) Cash Equivalent: Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, Certified Checks, Traveler’s Checks. Wire Transfer.

Can individuals buy from IAA?

You will be able to bid at facilities that are open to Public Buyers, on vehicles that can be sold to Public Buyers. Remember, even though a facility may open to the public, it does not mean that all inventory at the facility is available to Public Buyers. Bid online at IAAI.com or onsite at an IAA branch.

Can you cancel a bid on iaai?
