The Chemistry Placement Test is designed to assess the readiness of students who are planning to enroll in a first year college-level chemistry course (Chemistry 120). It is a paper- and-pencil multiple-choice test. The test presumes that students have completed one year of chemistry in high school or its equivalent.

How long is the chemistry placement test?

The Chemistry Placement Exam is a timed online test. You have 45 minutes to complete the exam, and you cannot save your progress and finish at another time. The timer continues to count down as soon as you choose to begin the test.
